Presentation title

Complex spin textures in three-dimensional nanohelices

John Fullerton graduated with an MSci in Chemical Physics from the University of Glasgow and completed his PhD in Materials and Condensed Matter Physics in 2023 at the University of Glasgow and Queen’s University Belfast. His PhD thesis focused on 3D spin textures formed by strongly coupled magnetic nanowires. He is now a postdoctoral researcher in the Functional Nanoscale Heterostructures group in the Material Science Division at the Argonne National Laboratory. His current research is based on studying the formation and behavior of magnetic domains and topological spin textures in a range of magnetic nanostructures, including: 2D ferromagnets, thin-film multilayers and 3D nanostructures.
