Presentation title

Electrical spin current generation in ferromagnets and antiferromagnets

Vivek Amin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Indiana University –Purdue University, Indianapolis (IUPUI). He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin and his PhD in Physics at Texas A&M University. His group theoretically investigates using the spin and associated magnetic moment of electrons to create new electronic, or ”spintronic,” devices, with applications to magnetic memories and hardware implementations of artificial intelligence.
