Thomas Schrefl received his PhD from the TU-Wien in 1993 where he completed his Habilitation in 1999 in “Computational Physics”. He worked on the development of numerical micromagnetic solvers for application in magnetic recording and permanent magnet. He is head of the Christian Doppler Laboratory for magnet design through physics informed machine learning at Danube University Krems, Austria
